A newswire sends your press release to news websites, journalists and search engines in one go. Instead of emailing hundreds of editors yourself, you submit once and we handle distribution, publishing and reporting.
FAQ
GETTING STARTED
-
What is a newswire?
-
How much does it cost to send a press release in the UK?
You can start for nothing. Our Free plan publishes one release a month on five partner news sites. Paid plans start at £19 per release, and UK Premium, which adds AP News and USA Today, is £129.
-
How quickly will my release go live?
Most releases go live the same day. Distribution is completed within 24 hours of approval, and you receive a report with live links once it is published.
-
Which outlets will publish my news?
That depends on your plan. Paid plans reach 300 to 500+ news and business sites. UK Premium adds AP News, USA Today, Barchart and StreetInsider. You can add Yahoo Finance, Business Insider and MarketWatch, and UK titles such as The AI Journal are available on request.
-
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Free Newswire publishes one release a month on five partner news sites at no cost. It is a plan, not a trial, so it does not turn into a bill.
DISTRIBUTION AND OUTLETS
-
How long does distribution take?
Most releases go live the same day, and distribution is completed within 24 hours of approval. Premium outlets such as AP News and USA Today run their own checks, so their pages can appear a little later.
-
Will my release appear on Google News?
Many of the sites in our network are indexed by Google News, so your release can appear there. Google decides what it shows, so no one can guarantee a Google News listing.
-
What do you check before a release goes out?
We check that it reads as news, that claims are supported, and that links, names and contact details work. Releases that break the law or an outlet’s rules are sent back with notes.
-
What is in the placement report?
A list of every site that published your release, with live links, so you can see exactly where it appeared and share the results.
-
Can you target UK regions or trade titles?
Yes. For UK regional, trade and national titles we quote per placement, or our outreach team can pitch the editors directly.
-
Do you guarantee coverage?
We guarantee publication on the sites in your paid plan, or your money back. What nobody can honestly promise is that a journalist will write an original story about you. That depends on your news.
-
Can you write the press release for me?
Yes. Writing starts at £49. You send a short brief, a UK writer drafts the release and you get a round of edits before anything goes out.
-
Can I include links, images and a logo?
Yes. Paid releases can carry up to five links and three images. Free releases carry one link and up to three images.
PRICING AND PAYMENT
-
Are your prices in pounds?
Yes. Every price on this site is in pounds sterling. Any VAT due is shown at checkout before you pay.
-
Is there a membership or annual fee?
No. You pay for the releases and services you use. There is no joining fee and no annual membership.
-
What does “per release” mean?
One press release, distributed once to every site in your plan, with its own placement report.
-
What if my release is not published?
If a paid release is not published on the sites in your plan, you get your money back.
-
What is the difference between UK Business and UK Premium?
UK Business reaches 500+ news, business, TV and radio network sites. UK Premium includes all of that and adds four premium outlets: AP News, USA Today, Barchart and StreetInsider.
-
Do you offer volume or agency rates?
Yes. Agencies and anyone sending ten or more releases can use our white label rates, which start at £9 per release.
-
How do UK premium placements work?
Titles such as The AI Journal, London Loves Business and IBTimes UK set their own rules and prices, so we quote for each placement. Tell us about your news and we will come back with options.
-
Can I get an invoice for my company?
Yes. Every payment comes with an invoice you can download for your records.
-
Which payment methods do you accept?
All major debit and credit cards. Other payment options are shown at checkout.
-
Can I pay monthly?
Distribution is paid per release. Done-for-you PR and brand monitoring are monthly services.
FREE NEWSWIRE
-
What do I get on the free plan?
One release a month, published on five partner news sites, with one link, up to three images and a report sent by email.
-
How long can a free release be?
Between 250 and 950 words. That is plenty for a clear announcement, and editors prefer short releases anyway.
-
Can I send more than one free release a month?
The free plan covers one release a month. Once you have bought any paid release, the monthly limit on free releases no longer applies.
-
Can I edit a free release after it is published?
No. Free releases cannot be changed once they are live, so check names, figures and links before you submit.
-
How do I upgrade?
Choose any paid plan when you submit your next release. UK Starter costs £19 and reaches 300+ news and business sites.
